People Should Go To Jail For Abandoning Their Pets

Imagine walking home from school or work and seeing a poor hopeless dog just seating on the cold hard ground, no food, shelter or love. I think that all the people who abandon their pets should be sent to jail. It is wrong to leave a defenseless creature on their own especially when they have grown up living in a warm comfortable home with food and water at their disposal. Such animals will surely die without the proper care that they were used too receiving. Some people's pets are like their best friend. When nobody's there for you and to console you, your pets will always be there. Abandon pets suffer in the streets for years before ending up in a shelter where they will most likely get euthanized. most animals get euthanized because of high abandonment rate and low adoption rates.

Majority of people may not know this, but animals also have feelings. even though they don't talk and life their life live humans.  Pets are very special. They love you no matter who you are and don't care if you are fat, skinny, black, white.They  always love to see you when you get home and it doesn't matter if you're late. They can be trained to help people that can't see or hear and can protect us. They also will tell you when a person that they don't recognize  is coming to your house to give you a heads up.  

 Another reason I think people should go to jail for abandoning their pets is because it's their responsibility to take care of them. I also believe if the owner wanted a pet they should be responsible enough to take care of them. It will also help the animal population around the world. Some people might not think it is a big deal but some dogs that are abandoned  can be really expensive dogs and that means their owner will probably have to pay a fine. Also dogs are really popular pets. If you have watch the movie "i am a legend" starring will smith, you will see how important his dog was to him. Will smith character in the movie was the only person left in the world. He had nobody but his dog. He fed, bath and protect his dog. The poor dog then died because he was bitten and got infected leaving will smith depressed and lonely. 

 Abandoning your pets can lead to many destruction. They can harm people and spread diseases. I mean what do you expect when you leave an animal abandon for days ? they'll not longer be healthy. They turn into dreadful creatures. 

Pets are humanizing. They remind us we have an obligation and responsibility to preserve and nurture and care for all life. What i'm Basically trying to say is , take care of your responsibilities.
